Google is expected to launch their latest Pixel 5a smartphone on August 26. However, the mid-range smartphone will only be available for purchase in the USA and Japan. Other rumors by Jon Prosser also suggest that the smartphone will only be available in Google’s New York-based physical store and Google’s online stores. The smartphone, unfortunately, won’t be available in other stores or other online retailers.
In addition, there have been new pre-launch rumors that suggest that Google’s Pixel 5a will be priced cheaper than the Google Pixel 4a when it was launched. Though the difference is there, it is not at all a slight price difference. The Pixel 5a will be priced $50 (Rs. 3,724) less than the Pixel 4a (5G). However, the reports related to the Pixel 5a are still rumors, and there is still no official information from Google regarding this. But, the reports suggest that the Google Pixel 5a will be priced at $450 (Rs. 33,523) in the US markets, which puts it in the mid-range smartphone segment.
The Pixel 5a, priced at $450, would be available in a single storage variant: the 6GB RAM plus 128GB storage and the sole Black color variant. Officially, it has been only announced for the Japanese and American markets, and unfortunately, there have been no rumors or official information regarding it arriving at Indian markets.

The Pixel 5a would come with a 6.4-inch, which also houses a refresh rate of 90Hz, making it super viable for mobile gaming. Additionally, it will run on the latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, accompanied by 6GB RAM and 128 GB onboard storage. Allegedly, the smartphone might also run Android’s latest OS, namely the Android 12.
The camera setup of the smartphone includes a dual-camera setup, which is underwhelming, but do not let that deceive you, as Google’s Cameras are fine-tuned to deliver the best experience possible. Moving on, the camera setup might include a 12.2MP primary sensor and a 16MP ultra-wide sensor. Unfortunately, there have been no updates on the front camera’s specification, but it will be a single selfie camera.
In other features, the battery capacity of the Pixel 5a will be sized at 4650mAh. And might also come with fast-charging capabilities. The Pixel 5a will come with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C in the connectivity options.
