After launching the AirFunk 1 and AirFunk Pro earbuds, Indian company Micromax is set to sell the Micromax In 2b smartphone in India on August 6. It is the successor of the In 1b that was last year and an improvement on the same. It launches with a rectangular shaped panel which contains the rear camera and a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. With a dual pattern design, the power and volume buttons are located on the right side of the smartphone.
In terms of specifications, the smartphone is powered by the Unisoc T610 octa-core SoC and runs on Android 11. Internal storage options include a 64GB option which is expandable upto 256GB with the help of a MicroSD card. With a 20:9 aspect ratio, 89% screen to body ratio and 400 nits brightness, it dons a 6.52 inch HD+ water-drop type display. The phone boasts a 5000mAh battery though there is no word about fast charging from the company.
The connectivity features of the smartphone include dual VoLTE, WiFi, dual VoWiFi, Bluetooth and a USB Type-C port. The phone contains Face ID unlock along with the fingerprint scanner for security options. Accelerometer, light sensor and a proximity sensor are the sensors that the smartphone includes. The company claims that the smartphone can offer upto 20 hours of browsing, 15 hours of video streaming, 50 hours of talktime and a whopping 160 hours of music playback.
For the camera, it packs a dual rear camera setup which contains a 13MP primary shooter with a f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP secondary camera. For video chats and selfies, the phone includes a 5MP front camera. The camera also provides important features like the night mode, motion photo, beauty mode and background portrait.
The Micromax In 2b will launch on August 6 in India at 12 pm and will be available on the Micromax website and Flipkart in green, black and blue colour schemes. It comes in two different versions. The 4GB RAM paired with 64GB internal storage which is priced at Rs. 7,999 and the 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage version which will start at price of Rs. 8,999.
