OnePlus Nord 2 is set to be launched on the 22nd of July and the company has revealed the design of the smartphone today. In the mid-range sector, where OnePlus has recently ventured in, the company launched two new smartphones last October the N10 and N100 and these were succeeded by the OnePlus Nord CE 5G and the Nord 200. The company today took to Twitter to announce and reveal the new design of the highly anticipated Nord 2.
The design is very similar to what we’ve seen from the previous leaks and the rear contains a triple camera setup with one small sensor close to the flash and two big sensors. The design reveal has not shown us the front of the smartphone but from the leaks we can infer and conclude that it will have a punch hole display. The reveal also confirms the speculation around the colour scheme of the phone and its safe to say that the smartphone will launch in two different colour options for the audience, Grey Sierra and Blue Haze.
The vertical panel holding the three cameras and the flash light definitely gives the rear of the smartphone a premium look topped by the iconic OnePlus logo just below that. The smartphone is set to launch at 7:30 pm IST and will be livestreamed on the OnePlus website and the official YouTube channel.
Confirmed specs include the first OnePlus smartphone to be powered by a MediaTek processor, the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 -AI SoC. OxygenOS 11 will be the Operating system on the phone and a 6.43 inch AMOLED display with a hole punch at the front to top it off. The phone has received an HDR10+ certification and contains a refresh rate of 90Hz. The special feature that the OnePlus Nord 2 includes the Sony IMX766 primary camera, the first on a OnePlus, and it also includes Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS)
The smartphone will be launched in two variants; one being the 8GB RAM 128GB storage and the other with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The former is set to be priced at Rs. 31,999 and the latter at Rs. 34,999.
