The upcoming budget-range smartphone from Xiaomi, the Redmi 10, is soon going to launch. It has been found on multiple certification listings, one being the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The listing on the FCC also gives us a sneak peek into the specifications of the upcoming addition to the Redmi family. These listings also indicate that the phones are in development and would soon be available to the consumers.
According to 91Mobiles, they found the device on two certification listings: FCC & IMEI. The certification model number of the Redmi 10 is 21061119AG. The phone will be running on Android 11 and will have the latest MIUI 12.5 OS. The FCC listings also revealed the connectivity options that the phone will be available in, and it will come with dual-band WiFi and 4G LTE connectivity.
According to another reputed leaker, Kacper Skrzypek, Redmi 10 will come with a triple camera setup: a whopping 50MP Samsung S5KJN1 primary camera, 8MP Sony IMX355 wide-angle lens, and 2MP macro lens. The specifications of the camera look pretty packed for a budget phone.
The phone storage options include three variants: the 4GB RAM plus 64GB local storage option, the 4GB RAM plus 128GB local storage option, and the 6GB RAM and 128GB local storage option. With this, Xiaomi plans to deliver a variety of options for the consumers.
This device from Xiaomi is supposed to be the replacement for the Redmi 9 phones. Many believe that the device will be launching in August, similar to Redmi 9 last year. It is also assumed that the Redmi 10 will come in multiple variants like the Redmi 10, but there are no official updates on if they will be launched together or separately.
The certifications also indicate that Xiaomi’s Redmi 10 will be available for purchase in Indian, European, Russian, Malaysian, and Singaporean markets. The device was also teased on Redmi India’s tweeter sometime in June. However, since then, there have been official updates regarding the price, specification, or launch of the Redmi 10.
As Xiaomi focuses more on the upcoming Redmi Note 10T launch on July 20. More will be soon revealed regarding the Redmi 10 later and could provide consumers more clarity.
