Samsung recently announced the 2021 edition for their Galaxy M21 model. The 2021 edition does not bring anything particularly new, apart from a design overhaul and the upgraded Samsung GM2 Primary Camera. The display carries a bezel-less design with a water-drop notch front camera. The back panel of the phone has a fingerprint sensor and a sleek look.
Arctic Blue and Charcoal Black are the two color variants the Galaxy M21 2021 edition will be available. Consumers can purchase the phone from July 26, 12 am onwards, during the Prime Day Sale. And purchasing from Amazon will also provide consumers a 10 percent discount if they use an HDFC Bank card. People can also avail an Rs.1000 cashback with ICICI transaction cards if they purchase on Samsung’s official website.
Samsung Galaxy M21 2021 Edition specifications:
As the phone is more of an upgrade to the previously launched Galaxy M21, there are minor upgrades throughout rather than complete changes. The phone will run Android 11, which is an upgrade from the 2020 M21 model.
The smartphone has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U Display with a 60Hz refresh rate, which remains the same as last year’s model. Apart from that, the Exynos 9611 SoC processor is what the 2021 model will come equipped with, accompanied by the Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. There will be two storage options available for the smartphone, a 4GB RAM plus 64GB storage, and a 6GB RAM plus 128GB storage.
Powered with a whopping 6000mAh battery, the phone looks pretty intense with the longevity factor. The smartphone carries a triple-camera setup in the camera layout, including a 48MP primary Samsung GM2 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 5MP depth sensor, which are pretty helpful for portrait photography. Even the front camera has been an upgrade from last year’s M21, as the 2021 edition comes with a 20MP front camera sensor.
Other features include dual-SIM capability, a dedicated MicroSD slot, 4G support, Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth support, and the infamous 3.5mm headphone jack. And 15W charging for the generously sized battery.
Price:
The price of the two Galaxy M21 2021 editions is Rs. 12,499 and Rs. 14,449, depending on the storage variant. This pricing puts the Samsung Galaxy M21 2021 edition in the budget-phone category against competition like Redmi Note 10 and RealMe Narzo 30. The phone does carry mainly the same features, but the change in pricing is not that harsh and lets users utilize Android 11. More post-sales information will tell if the 2021 edition succeeds in the market or not.
