The Tecno Camon 17 and Camon 17 Pro have been officially launched in India by Tecno. Additionally, the benefits far outweigh the costs. It costs Rs. 12,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the Tecno Camon 17. With a price tag of Rs. 16,999, the Tecno Camon 17 Pro comes with a 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option. Putting the two in the budget-smartphone category. The color variants of the Tecno Camon 17 include three colors which include Frost Silver, Spruce Green, and Magnet Black. On the other hand, the Tecno Camon 17 Pro comes in just one color: the Arctic Down option.

Now that the phone is launched, Amazon will exclusively sell the phones on their website on Prime Day 2021, which is July 26 onwards. Both the phones will be available for purchase at the prices mentioned above. Buying a Tecno 17 Pro on launch also offers a free pair of Buds1 earbuds and a 10 percent discount if the consumer uses an HDFC credit/debit card for the purchase.

Tecno Camon 17 Specifications:

The Tecno Camon 17 runs a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC chipset as its processor. The storage option for the phone is 6GB RAM plus 128GB local storage that can be expanded up to 256GB. The phone has a 6.8-inch FHD+ IPS Display and a 90Hz refresh rate on screen, making the phone suitable for mobile gaming. Connectivity options include the usual 4G LTE, Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth v5.0, and much more.

Apart from that, the Tecno Camon 17 comes with a quad-camera setup. This includes a 64MP primary lens, which can support apertures up to f/1.79, making it suitable for portrait photography. The other three cameras include a 2MP sensor. The front-facing camera of the phone is 16MP and supports low apertures too.

In other features, the phone has a decently sized 5000mAh battery that can be charged with an 18W fast-charging feature. It also has Dual SIM technology and has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone comes with HiOS v7.6 and runs Android 11.

Tecno Camon 17 Pro Specifications:

Unlike the Tecno Camon 17, the processor that the Pro runs on is the MediaTek Helio G95 SoC, which is more powerful. It also houses 8GB RAM, which is two more than the Tecno 17. The local storage is the same as the Tecno 17 at 128GB, which can be expanded to 256GB.

The screen of Tecno Camon 17 Pro also sports a 6.8-inch FHD+ IPS Display and 90Hz refresh rate. Making it suitable for gaming primarily because of the huge RAM and more robust processor.

The camera setup of the phone includes a quad-camera setup too. This includes a 64MP primary lens which can go up to f/1.79 apertures, an 8MP wide-angle lens, which is not included in the Tecno Camon 17’s quad-camera setup. And the remaining two cameras comprise 2MP lenses.

The Tecno Camon 17 Pro comes with a 5000mAh sized battery, like the Camon 17. However, it offers a more powerful 33W fast-charging option. The phone also supports Dual SIM technology and consists of the same extra features as the Tecno Camon 17.

These two phones look pretty strong for their price-point, especially when it comes to the processor and the display’s refresh rate. Making it quite noticeable in the budget-phone category.
