Xiaomi has launched the Mi HyperSonic power bank in India and with this new device, it has extended its electronics list and power banks that it produces and sells. The company already offers power banks as Mi series as they come in both 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh capacities. The all new HyperSonic power bank is now available on the Mi website starting today. The power bank is discounted at a price of Rs. 3,499 as part of a crowdfunding campaign. Once the campaign is over, it will be revised back to its original price, which is Rs. 4,999.
With a massive capacity of 20,000 mAh, 50W fast charging support and a three port design, the Mi HyperSonic power bank is both lightweight and durable. In terms of the specifications, the company claims that it can charge the 4500 mAh battery of a smartphone within 1 hour and 5 mins and the whole power bank can fully recharge within 3 hours 45 minutes with a 45W charger. It supports both USB Type-A and Type-C chargers. The device also supports Power Delivery 3.0 and is made of high quality PC + ABS material. The device packs a lithium polymer battery with 20,000 mAh capacity as stated earlier.
The company also claims that it is capable of fast charging a laptop with a 45W charger. One of the other interesting features that this device includes is that it is also capable of a low power charging mode which enables safe charging. This is really useful for low power consuming devices such as bluetooth headphones, smartwatches and fitness bands. This feature can be activated in the device by double tapping the power button.
The power bank measures 157.3×73.5×27.5 mm and comes in only one matte black colour which will start being distributed from September 15. The device is equipped with 16 layers of advanced chip protection. This feature basically offers extra protection from short circuits, electrostatic protection and over voltage protection as well. These built-in protection mechanisms are the most important feature of the power banks as they offer you protection from any dangerous hazards while charging or using the power bank.
